What is an ergonomic assessment?

It is the analysis of an individual at their workplace to identify risk factors that may lead to musculoskeletal (muscle, bone, joint) disorders, to optimise correct working postures and equipment for the benefit of the employee and employer.

The benefits of an ergonomic assessment include:

  • Improved Health - by preventing awkward stresses and strains placed upon the body to reduce tension in the postural muscles.
